F3A European Championship: Total Suspense After Two Flights

1–2 minutes

With an easterly wind tuesday morning and changing weather conditions the afternoon, European pilots are engaged in a fierce battle. Here is a look back at a day where the competition is tighter than ever.

Panel 1: Lassi Nurila Sets the Pace Under a steady North-East wind, Finland’s Lassi Nurila executed a perfect flight on Panel 1 to claim the top score of 1000 points. He leads the Austrian duo of Gernot Bruckmann (2nd) and Werner Kohlberger (3rd), with the French Paysant-Le Roux family remaining in striking distance right behind them.

Panel 2: Andrea Cervi Takes the Lead This afternoon on Panel 2, the initially tough conditions gradually softened. Italy’s Andrea Cervi capitalized on the smoother weather to deliver the best flight of the second round ahead of Lassi Nurila (2nd) and Gernot Bruckmann (3rd), who both showed remarkable consistency.

Overview: Top 6 Within 39 Points! This evening, the overall standings are exceptionally close: the top six pilots are separated by a mere 39 points (normalized to 1000). Two preliminary flights remain to decide the 30 semi-finalists. Anything can still happen!
